P Grade Homogeneous Vinyl Sheet
P grade represents the wear resistance of the PVC flooring.
What is the wear resistance of homogeneous vinyl sheet?
Vinyl flooring is made of polyvinyl chloride material, which is very popular in the world today. It entered the Chinese market in the early 1980s and has been widely recognized in large and medium-sized cities in China. It is widely used, such as hospitals, laboratories, schools, office buildings, factories, public places, supermarkets, businesses, and other places.
The transparent wear-resistant layer on the surface of the PVC flooring is processed by high technology, and its wear-resistant revolutions can reach 300,000 revolutions. The good laminate flooring can only be 20,000 revolutions. It is super wear-resistant, impact-resistant, non-deformable, reusable, and its service life is generally 15-25 years. Because of its super wear resistance, vinyl flooring sheet is becoming more and more popular in places with large traffic.
When it comes to the wear resistance of homogeneous vinyl flooring sheet, the most frequently mentioned term is the wear resistance grade of PVC flooring.
The wear resistance grade of the wear-resistant layer is a very important performance indicator of PVC vinyl flooring. Many buyers require the floor to be T-grade or P-grade, which is divided according to the wear resistance grade of the wear-resistant layer.
So, how to correctly understand the wear resistance grade of vinyl flooring sheet? The PVC flooring industry first emerged in Europe. The wear resistance grade is a standard formulated by Europe, which is divided into T-grade, P-grade, M-grade, and F-grade.
From high to low, T-grade is the highest level of wear resistance, and F-grade is the lowest level.
Test method for wear resistance grade of PVC flooring: The wear resistance grade of PVC flooring is based on the test method of EN 660-2: weigh the sample to an accuracy of ±0.1mg. Grind a sample for 5000 turns, pause and weigh after every 1000 turns, and test the other 2 samples. If the first sample is worn through in 5000 turns, exclude and test the remaining 2 samples for 200 turns/cycle until 2000 turns or the sample is worn through. Calculate the average mass loss. Fm, expressed in mg/100 revolutions, Fm=Ftot/n*100. The mass loss value of each sample for 100 revolutions is calculated as follows: Fv=Fm/ρ, loss value Fv(mm3)/100 revolutions, T grade= Fv≤2.0, P grade= 2.0≤Fv≤4.0, M grade=4.0≤Fv≤7.5, F grade= 7.5≤Fv≤15.0.
The above is a professional test method for the wear resistance grade of PVC vinyl flooring sheet. Many people are confused when they see these data. In layman's terms, the higher the wear resistance revolution, the higher the grade. Alternatively, you can find a 360-grit sandpaper and experiment on the spot. Start grinding according to the revolutions stated by the merchant. One back and forth is counted as two revolutions. When the floor surface begins to wear out, calculate how many back and forth you have ground. It can be seen from this that the smaller the wear value, the better the wear resistance, the better the quality and quality, and the more durable and longer the life of the PVC flooring.
