R10 Anti-slip Train Flooring Mat is a train flooring material manufactured according to the R10 anti-slip rating. It is used to provide a stable friction interface during carriage operation and passenger passage to meet the basic anti-slip and long-term use requirements of transportation equipment.
Product Advantages
Anti-slip and Abrasion-resistant
The R10 Anti-slip Train Flooring Mat features a surface microtexture around 10–50 μm exhibiting a consistent friction coefficient, between 0.30–0.35. Its wear-resistant layer incorporates 50–150 μm high-density abrasion particles, designed to handle train usage while preserving long-lasting anti-slip characteristics and surface durability.
Load-bearing and Stability
The PVC composite structure, consisting of layers ranges from 2 to 10 mm in thickness and has an elastic modulus that supports concentrated forces, between 500 and 1000 N. Over extended periods of use the surface experiences minimal deformation, which limits indentation and arching.
Flame Retardant and Safety
The PVC base material is self-extinguishing. Develops a charred layer when heated, preventing fire spread and complying with the Bfl-S1 flame retardant standard. It limits propagation, ideal, for the safety-critical setting of train coaches.
Tolerance and Comfort
The surface porosity is less than 3%, reducing ethanol and hypochlorite penetration. The multi-layered structure combined with internal damping absorbs footsteps and equipment vibrations, with impact sound attenuation of approximately 10–15 dB.

FAQ
Q: Does the train carriage require a uniform floor thickness across different areas?
A: For high-traffic areas such as doorways and aisles, a thicker floor (6–10 mm) is recommended to improve pressure resistance and abrasion resistance. For low-traffic areas, a thinner floor (2–4 mm) can be used to reduce costs while maintaining slip resistance.
Q: Will long-term surface wear affect safety?
A: The product surface uses a high-density abrasion-resistant particle composite layer, maintaining a friction coefficient of R10 even after millions of footsteps, ensuring slip resistance and passenger safety.
Q: Will frequent cleaning and disinfection cause the floor to age or fade?
A: The dense surface structure resists cleaning agents such as alcohol and hypochlorite, and will not show significant discoloration or damage even after long-term cleaning, making it suitable for the daily high-frequency disinfection needs of trains.
Q: Are special tools or treatments required during installation?
A: Rolled materials can be directly cut and laid, while sheets can be fixed using ordinary rollers and adhesives, requiring no additional professional equipment, reducing construction time and labor costs.
Q: How long does the slip resistance last in wet or rainy/snowy environments?
A: The microstructured surface increases contact friction, so even if the floor of the carriage is slightly wet or slippery, the coefficient of friction remains above about 0.3, ensuring safety during daily operation.
