1. Different ingredients and production processes
Rubber flooring is divided into homogeneous and non-homogeneous. Homogeneous rubber flooring refers to a floor vulcanized with a single or multi-layer structure based on natural rubber or synthetic rubber with consistent color and composition; non-homogeneous rubber flooring refers to a flooring based on natural rubber or synthetic rubber with a consistent structure. It consists of a wear-resistant layer and other compacted layers with different compositions and/or designs. The compacted layer includes a skeleton layer.
2. There are differences in colors
It is difficult to color rubber floors because rubber has strong color absorption, so most rubber floors have a single color; stone plastic floors come in many colors and can be combined in any way, giving designers more choices.
3. There are differences in the ease of installation.
Stone-plastic flooring is lighter and easier to install; rubber flooring is heavier and more laborious to install. Moreover, the installation method of rubber flooring is more stringent. If the method is incorrect, bubbles will appear. The requirements for self-leveling foundation are more perfect, otherwise the defects of the base layer will be exaggerated.
4. There are differences in market demand and wear resistance
Due to its high price, rubber flooring is only used in some high-end places and its scope is relatively narrow; while stone-plastic flooring is widely used due to its high cost performance and has huge market potential. In addition, rubber flooring has stronger wear resistance and is very suitable for use in places with a large flow of people such as airports and stations, as well as on transportation vehicles such as airplanes, trains, subways, cars, and ships.
