All about the Wear Resistance of PVC Flooring Rolls

The wear resistance of PVC flooring has always been a concern of customers. The wear resistance of PVC flooring is directly related to its service life. Today, we will mainly talk about the PVC flooring rolls. PVC flooring rolls are generally divided into three categories:

commercial PVC heterogenous flooring, sports flooring and homogeneous PVC flooring.

So what are the wear resistance of these three types of products?

1. Composite dense bottom PVC heterogeneous flooring rolls

Composite dense bottom PVC flooring, regular thickness which are from 1.6mm to 2.0mm, it is composed of multiple layers of different structures, with a UV wear-resistant layer on the surface, good scratch resistance, and a normal service life of about 10 years. Composite dense bottom PVC heterogeneous flooring is mostly used in kindergartens, schools, office buildings, supermarkets, medical and other systems.

2. Sports PVC flooring Rolls

Sports PVC flooring is a foam base. The wear resistance mainly depends on the thickness of its wear-resistant layer. Conventional products are 3.5/4.5mm. The thicker the thickness, the better the elasticity, and the thicker the wear-resistant layer. It can be used for 5-8 years.

3. Homogeneous PVC flooring rolls

Homogeneous PVC flooring roll has a wear-resistant layer from top to bottom, which means that the thicker the wear-resistant layer is, the thicker the wear-resistant layer is. It has excellent wear resistance. Homogeneous PVC flooring is mostly used in hospitals, factory workshops, laboratories, large supermarkets and other places. It can be used for more than 20 years normally. It is also very easy to maintain and does not need waxing on a daily basis.

Regarding the question of which PVC floor is more wear-resistant, in fact, all of them are relatively wear-resistant, but the use scenarios are different, the materials selected are different, and the wear resistance is also different. In general, homogeneous PVC flooring has the best wear resistance, followed by commercial composite heterogenous flooring, and sports flooring with foam bottom is relatively inferior. Wear resistance cannot determine the quality of PVC flooring. The key is to use the right PVC flooring for the right scene.
