History of PVC Vinyl flooring
PVC vinyl flooring entered the Chinese market in the early 1980s and began to be systematically introduced into China in the late 1990s. The development of PVC materials can be traced back to the 19th century. In 1825, Russian scientists discovered PVC. In 1930, PVC polymer products were born in Germany. In 1937, Germany applied for the first patent for coating PVC on fabric. In 1947, Swedish Lims Company successfully manufactured the first vinyl floor, which marked the advent of PVC vinyl floor. Since then, PVC vinyl floor has gradually been promoted and applied around the world.
Since the first PVC vinyl floor entered the domestic market in the 1980s, the entire industry was in the exploratory and primary stage until 2000. From 2000 to 2004, PVC flooring had initial development. From 2004 to 2007, PVC vinyl sports flooring and commercial flooring gradually gained industry recognition. More and more stadiums and competition venues began to choose professional PVC sports flooring, and more and more construction projects also began to choose PVC commercial flooring. The key factor that really promoted the rapid development of PVC resilient flooring in China was the successful hosting of the 2008 Olympic Games in China, which made the entire market recognize PVC vinyl flooring.
