Borflor PVC Flooring Has Passed R10 Anti-slip Ramp Test by SGS and Got the Fresh New Certificate

The anti-slip grade of PVC flooring is an important indicator to measure its surface friction coefficient, and is usually classified according to international or national standards. The following are some common anti-slip grade standards and introductions:

1. **R value classification (European standard EN 13893)**
- **R9**: low anti-slip grade, suitable for dry environments such as bedrooms, living rooms, etc.

All of our PVC flooring meets the R9 anti-slip standard.
- **R10**: medium anti-slip grade, suitable for general indoor environments such as offices, classrooms, etc.

All of our new PVC products can meet the anti-slip R10 garde.

We have just get the fresh new certificate of R10 through SGS.

R101

- **R11**: higher anti-slip grade, suitable for wet environments such as kitchens, bathrooms, etc.
- **R12**: high anti-slip grade, suitable for very slippery environments such as public bathrooms, around swimming pools, etc.
- **R13**: extremely high anti-slip grade, suitable for extremely slippery environments such as industrial workshops, food processing plants, etc.

Borflor has developed higher and the highest anti-slip grade from R11 to R13 PVC flooring.

R1311

2. **Anti-slip coefficient (American standard ASTM D2047)**
- **Static coefficient of friction (SCOF)**: SCOF ≥ 0.5 is usually required to ensure anti-slip performance under dry conditions.
- **Dynamic coefficient of friction (DCOF)**: DCOF ≥ 0.42 is usually required to ensure anti-slip performance under wet conditions.

3. **Anti-slip grade (Chinese standard GB/T 4100)**
- **Class 1**: Low anti-slip grade, suitable for dry environments.
- **Class 2**: Medium anti-slip grade, suitable for general indoor environments.
- **Class 3**: High anti-slip grade, suitable for wet environments.
- **Class 4**: Very high anti-slip grade, suitable for extremely wet and slippery environments.

 4. **Anti-slip test method**
- **Pendulum Test**: The coefficient of friction of the floor is measured by the swing of the pendulum, which is often used to evaluate the anti-slip performance under wet and slippery conditions.
- **Ramp Test**: By adjusting the slope angle, the walking safety of people at different inclinations is tested, which is often used to evaluate the anti-slip performance in extremely wet and slippery environments.

5. **Selection suggestions**
- **Home use**: Generally, R10 or R11 grade PVC flooring can meet daily needs.
- **Commercial use**: Choose R11 or R12 grade PVC flooring according to the specific environment, especially in places with high traffic or humidity.
- **Industrial use**: It is recommended to choose R13 grade PVC flooring to ensure safety in highly slippery environments.

Understanding the anti-slip grade of PVC flooring will help you choose the right product according to the specific use environment to ensure safety and comfort
